Is there a way to get .KA1 files directly into SoundDiver. My SoundDiver (Mac)
will not even let me import them. Is this normal?

The closest you can come is to convert them all to sysex dumps with my ka1tosyx
utility (in the "patch" archive). In fact, this is exactly why I wrote it. If you
put all the files to convert in one directory and type "ka1tosyx *.*" the utility
will reate sysex dumps starting at A1 and ending at A[number of patches converted].
Also you can specify a starting location in memory by typing "ka1tosyx *.* A6" or
something similar, in which case it would start at location A6 and increment from
there.
You can also convert individual files into specific locations with "ka1tosyx
[filename] [bank location]".
SoundDiver can load sysex files from disk, although you will need to run the
ka1tosyx file under a DOS/windows emulator or something like that unless someone
can recompile it for the Mac.
I think right now, unfortunately, the only other way to do it would be to load all
the patches into the K5K and then request them from there, but that's even more
trouble.
